Remembering Nelson Mandela

Nelson-MandelaNelson Mandela’s Footprint

On this first anniversary of his death, we remember Nelson Mandela, the brave South African who symbolizes the international struggle for civil rights and peace.

Wrongfully imprisoned for 27 years, elected first black President of South Africa, and winner of the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize, Rolihlahla “Nelson” Mandela led a fascinating life that inspires hope in us all.

One year after his death, we remember Mandela with a story of one famous Mandela quote; a quote that reminds us that we are all more than what we seem:

“We ask ourselves, who am I to be: brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
